Overview

Version 1.5 builds on the version 1.3 release, adding additional functionality to the Flow Mechanic, which gives you the capability to update flow metadata using the app! More specifically, the Flow Mechanic now allows you to update API versions and replace certain hard-coded IDs in bulk!

Updates to Flow Mechanic

Update API Versions

The Flow Mechanic now gives you the ability to mass update API versions of flows whose flow versions are 9 or more API versions (3 years) behind. It will allow you to update the API version to any API version within the last 9 API versions.

Remove Hard-Coded IDs

This is the most exciting update in this release! The Flow Mechanic now allows you to replace hard-coded RecordType, User, Group, Profile, and Permission Set IDs in your flows in bulk! The app will create a get records element to retrieve the record details using certain unique fields on each and will assign the ID of the record to a variable. The app will then replace any hard-coded IDs for the record in the flow with a reference to the appropriate variable that was created.
